S.A.S.S.

S.S.A.S. is a new program to empower women  through networking, creating friendships and learning new skills from each other. Come for fun and a thought provoking afternoon.

                                  October 2009:

S.A.S.S. - Sisters Acquiring Skills on Sea and Land - Louise "EZ Lady started a S.A.S.S. group in La Paz  has now started the chapter in Puerto Escondido. In her absents this winter the group hopes to continue having their weekly meetings. Perhaps there will be other chapters of S.A.S.S. happening in different areas.

Food for thought would be all chapters of S.A.S.S. having a yearly get-together at Loreto Fest in Puerto Escondido.

SASS meets every Wednesday afternoon at 2:00 in the Singular building:

October 14 - Constanza was instrumental in beginning SASS with assistance from Louise on SV "EZ Lady". Our first meeting had 8 motivated women who introduce themselves and shared  their experiences and ideas for further workshops .  They all enjoyed the first meeting and approved of the concept of SASS  The women realized that we are  in this experience together and  we can help each other.  We are not alone.

October 21 - 11 women participate  and enjoyed an informative and necessary presentation on Suddenly Alone by Ward and Brigitte on SV "Footloose".. Ward had taught this  class in the States and we are fortunate to have him for further classes. The women were taught to return the boat to safety if the Captain became incapacitated. Women agreed to have knot tying each week.

October 27 - .18 women gathered to discuss living 24/7 with our mates. New ideas were discussed for further meetings  and women practice their knot tying.

November 4-  4 women braved the northerlies to attended an exceptional free workshop taught by Virginia on  SV "Stella".  She had been taught the Egoscue Method, a non-medical pain relief and alignment through stretch exercises  Each women was evaluated and were taught exercises  for their problem. We had wished more women had attended this great workshop.   For further information  contact Stella or http://www.egoscue.com/        .

November 11 -The executive from Singlar had a  presentation on the further plans of Port Escondido and Loreto.   Men were invited,  Approximately 50 were in attendance.
